Frequently asked questions

How is the price calculated?+

Margin here is profit ÷ sell price. Solving for price gives P = (cost + logistics) ÷ (1 − commission% − margin%). The calculator does this and also shows the resulting profit, commission and markup.

Why does it say the margin isn't reachable?+

If the commission plus your target margin add up to 100% or more, there is no finite price that leaves that margin — every extra ruble of price is eaten by the commission and the margin you're demanding. Lower one of them.

Which commission should I enter?+

Use the current commission for your category from the marketplace's seller dashboard — rates vary by category and change over time.

Does this include ads and tax?+

No — it prices for commission and logistics. To factor in advertising, packaging and tax, model the result in the unit economics calculator.
